The life sciences industry generates more data than ever but still stops short of capitalizing on it. Biomanufacturing batches fail because small process deviations go undetected until the end of the line. Clinical trials stall because validation moves slower than the science. In genomics pipelines, insights drown in noise.
Every failed batch and stalled trial wastes money and delays life-saving care.
AI can catch these failures early, but most AI projects in this industry never make it from a promising lab result to a production-ready system. The AI in Life Sciences group at Fraunhofer USA CMA works in that gap. We come from software test and evaluation for aerospace, medical and government customers, and we build to that standard: validated before it ships. That work now runs in live production at a major US pharmaceutical manufacturer, and one platform we built went on to be acquired.
